Some chat amongst gamers if you find a guild that allows chat, and if you're lucky you'll make an online friend not find a creepy stalker.Spanning feudal Japan, the Roman era, Medieval Europe and 18th century France, the Total War series brings the past to life with a unique mix of turn-based.Game Details: Welcome to the Age of Empires 2 for Mac game page. Charged with the fortunes of a nation, you must use diplomacy, trade and military force to establish it as the dominant power of the 18th Century.Pros: Limited city building as there are few options, but the gamer can pretend they choose their city. An epic game of real-time tactics which combines turn-based empire building with massive 3D real-time battles on land and at sea. Command the seas, conquer the land, build an Empire.
![]() I guess I don't see the need to be adding all this new crap, when there are tired old things that could be reworked.Overall: Take the game for what it is. There are a lot of things in this game that could benefit from an update. I would have rather seen them put more time and effort into building new events and ditching all the tired old ones we get every year, year after year after year. Honestly, just those two things alone were a waste in my book. Inno has introduced a few new features in the game, things like the event hub, pvp and such. Empire Like Games Free To PlayRead More.Pros: There's a good game hiding in here. You have to buy " Diamonds " with your own real money which will get really expensive and I mean really expensive !!!What if I use diamonds to buy my goods to unlock these technologies to get ahead I hear you say, well that can be done but as you progress it will become more and more expensive to do so.And you have to defend against raiders that attack your city to steal resources from you which costs you more land ( and Diamonds ) to defend.Overall: A well thought out game for FOE as they sucker you in with the ad " free to play but in reality it is a very expensive game to play if you intend to see it through. It has many traps for the unwary all of which cost you real money.A guesstimate of how much it would take to see it through to the end has come up with a number of $ 4000 US.Having consulted with many other gamers it seems the players that are at the head of the pack are FOE themselves and probably don't pay for getting that far into the game like the rest of us do. A friendly word of advice would be to NEVER buy diamonds! Read More.Pros: A fun game to play which keeps you thinking strategy while juggling the well fare of your city.Cons: The advertising says " Free to Play " but in reality it is not, you can get past the first few levels easily enough but as you progress it becomes increasingly impossible to advance further along the story line without spending " Diamonds " to claim what you have already earned.Allow me to explain, lets say that you have succeeded in researching a new technology for which you payed for in "Forge Points" it is highly unlikely that you will have the available "goods to unlock " as there is not enough land available to build all the factories for all these goods as you have to have a sufficient population to cover these buildings which means building more houses which means more available land used leaving less land for what you need to " unlock " these technologies. So how do I get around this issue I hear you ask , well there really is only one way. Inno has no desire from what I have seen to keep players that have invested vast amounts of time and money into the game. You are going to get tired of it eventually and move on. If you're new to the game, expect to be thrown into a "neighborhood" with multiple people exploiting the mechanics of late stage buildings like Arc to steal everything you have over and over again. The combat is also somewhat interesting, as rather than just throwing raw numbers at players or randomly generating winners, the game includes some strategy in the form of movement and terrain bonuses that can actually be used advantageously, assuming the raw numerical bonuses of attack or defense aren't too extreme.Cons: The problem with FoE at this point is that it's an old game that caters to old players. It's fun and it feels like you're doing something. You feel like when you replace one building with another you're really making some progress. Quicken for mac 2015 helpPlayers who have been playing the game for years, amassing huge amount of special event buildings, extremely high levels of buildings from future eras, unbeatable pvp bonuses etc, but who 'camp' in a specific age. Read More.Pros: Build and research from the bronze age all the way into a distant future.Interesting turn-based combat system with a 'Rock, paper, scissors' approach.Nice graphics, a very nice blend between realistic and 'cartoon' style.A lot of group content (guilds), like trading, guild vs guild competitions, PvE expeditions. There is PvP content, but it is optional and not required at all. While the game may seem too slow at first, there are very often Events that let you acquire powerful buildings that can greatly increase the amount of gained Research Points (=FP), speeding you up.Cons: The 'Meta' city setups are very gamey and make your city look like a terrible amusement park, not a city. There is a lot of 'campers' in the game. They'll get rung out and hung up within a few weeks with little to nothing to show for it. Since the cost of losing early on is very high, this means that the long-standing players with access to cheesy mechanics can easily run new players into the ground with minimal effort.Overall: FoE was probably a good game in its heyday, but with the introduction of multiple exploitative buildings and units to appease longtime players looking to advance "alts" without the grind, there's no need for new players to even try applying. OK? But the SUPPORT IS ABSOLUTE TRASH. Read More.Pros: The game in general is fun. Also the 'end' is not the sole goal of this game, all the eras before the latest one are just as interesting, and a lot of people actually just remain in the age they like the most, instead of rushing forward, it's just your choice and you are not punished, or limited in any way for doing so. (But again, PvP defense is automatic and losses from plundering can be completely avoided)Because of the number of ages still increasing over time, It also takes more and more time to reach the latest ages, with requirements going up exponentially.Overall: The game is enjoyable, and can be played in a way you want, whether you want to play actively, or just login once every 1 or 2 days for a while.Because of how long this game has been going, there has been a lot of powercreep, and this caused some of the Great Buildings to go from 'optimal' to almost 'mandatory'.There is no need to spend ANY money ever to play it all the way to the end. I didn't know before so I was shocked and asked for a change. Once I had a username that some found offensive. They find excuses to not do stuff, and never EVER rely on support. Sure, there are some mods and support that are actually NICE. I would rather play other games than waste my time trying to avoid ban. I said the game in general is fun, but overall IT'S DUE TO SUPPORT THAT MAKES IT BAD. SERIOUSLY?! CHECK AND BE RESPONSIBLE BEFORE YOU BAN!Overall: TRASH SUPPORT. I appealed ban, and they said system encountered error. Suddenly, one day I was banned permanantly for having an offensive name WHEN SUPPORT SHOULD'VE CHANGED IT MONTHS AGO. I waited, and waited, and waited, Months passed, and there was STILL NO CHANGE.
